Amtech successfully deployed wireless hand-held and forklift solutions for 34 plant locations, with 750 configurable devices and over 4,000 total pieces of equipment. We also handled the imaging, configuration and Quality Assurance of the mobile devices, access points and bar-code scanners. In addition, we support what we delivered through our Help Desk services for the 34 sites including Spare Pool Management services and Asset Tracking/Management. As a result, the manufacturer is experiencing a significant increase in productivity and accuracy across all plants. |
We were able to identify and procure devices for a large Midwest manufacturer desiring to deploy a mobile solution for their fleet of trucks. The devices included GPS location capability, voice communication and signature capture. The devices were outfitted them with spare batteries, vehicle mounts and ultimately were imaged with our Mobile Force Delivery software. On-site installation of the units in the truck cabs and configuration for communication with the plant were a critical component of our turnkey mobile solution. Our responsibility extended to training the drivers on usage of the device. Post installation, the customer was transitioned to our 24/7-365 help desk providing them with ongoing mobile device management including remote updating of the software, monitoring the health of the devices and troubleshooting user issues - all in real time. |
When a large multi-plant manufacturing company in the South was looking to invested in Sales Force Automation software they looked to us to source, deploy and support the mobile technology. Because the devices are being used by experienced sales professionals they were looking for a solution that would give them all the tools necessary for keeping in touch with the office and their clients. We worked with them to understand the requirements so we could recommended a device that converged all of their needs for email, phone, internet and directions in a small easy-to-use form factor. These units were then imaged with our MobileForce Sales software. Each sales rep was also supplied with a ready to use kit containing the device, necessary accessories (batteries, cables, etc.) and instructions on how to immediately begin using the equipment.
