News - Press Releases - Wireless Inventory Control continued
The technology is real-time. It provides immediate updating of inventory
receipts, movements, loading and transfers. No downloading is required.
Your system is updated as it occurs. In addition, we provide hand-held
units that can be used for physical inventories. They are battery powered
and connected to your computer system via the same wireless network.
EASY TO USE MEANS ALWAYS UTILIZED
David Quam, Controller for Central Container in Minneapolis, Minnesota
states "The great thing about Top Gun is that you plug it in and forget
about it. It's very reliable".
The process starts with unit load tags identified by bar codes. This load
tag becomes its unique license plate. Each location, rack or bin in your
plant has a large locator bar code placed in a strategic location to
identify the placement of the unit. Your truck trailers also have a bar
code label on the inside that identifies the trailer that is being loaded.
High quality and cost effective laser and thermal printers are available to
print bar codes that can be easily read in all box plants.
