At the heart of the RPM system is the Plant Controller. This single device can monitor up to 50 machines. The Plant Controller
reads information from sensors, processes it, and then feeds it to the Amtech Plant Data Entry module.
Photo sensors (or eyes) are retrofitted to each machine. These sensors (via the Plant Controller)
control the Amtech Plant Data Entry systems modes.
For example, when the run speed of a machine exceeds the defined threshold, the Plant Data Entry module

automatically enters Run mode. Automatic mode changes are enabled for Ramp up, Run, Slow Run, and
Down modes. Setup is manually started. Speedometer gauges and progress meters on the Plant Data
Entry screen show the plant user current run speed versus standard, along with elapsed setup time
versus standard.
